In the idyllic country side of South Jersey was a cold war relic. The remains of the Nike missile battery that, in the 1950s and 60s, defended the city of Philadelphia from an attack. It was closed in the early 1970s as technology surpassed the need for this place. Most of this site was demolished in 2015.
