This image of an iconic stand of dead cedar trees is in the middle of Goshen Pond. This pond, with stands of dead trees along its banks is a scene that plays out frequently along New Jersey Pine Barrens waterways . On a morning like this it almost looks other worldly.
I’m a big fan of artist Andrew Wyeth’s work and although he never ventured into the Pinelands to my knowledge, I think he would have loved to paint this scene with its rhythms and bold lines.
Enjoy

Thanks Kathleen. I appreciate your comments. Send me an email and I send you a map where this place is. It is pretty easy to get to by car.
Wyeth is one of my fav’s also…. love the stillness in your comp.
Thanks Mike. Wyeth is definitely one of the greatest American masters.
